LaunMa is a laundry management and business record-keeping application operated by LaunMa Technologies, a business registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission under Business Name registration number 9841361.
Our registered address is 79, Ikot Ntuen, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
You can contact us at support@launma.com about anything in this policy, including requests to access or delete your data.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have. It applies to the LaunMa mobile application, the LaunMa web application, and our website.
LaunMa handles two distinct kinds of personal data, and our legal responsibility differs for each.
Your account data. When you sign up for LaunMa as a business owner, we decide what information we need and how we use it. For this data we are the data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Your customers’ data. When you use LaunMa to record orders, you enter information about your own customers, such as their names, phone numbers and addresses. That information belongs to you and your business. We store and process it only to provide the service to you, following your instructions. For this data you are the data controller and we are the data processor.
This means you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect your customers’ information, for telling them how it will be used, and for responding to any requests they make about their data. We will assist you where we reasonably can.
When you create an account
When you subscribe
We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, bank account number or banking credentials. All payments are processed by Paystack, and payment details are handled entirely by them under their own security standards. We receive only a payment reference and a success or failure result.
When you contact us
When you record an order, LaunMa stores whatever you choose to enter, which typically includes:
You control what goes into these fields. We do not use this information for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
We collect this to keep the app working, diagnose faults, protect your account and improve the product.
We do not currently use any third party analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking tools. If that changes we will update this policy and notify you before the change takes effect.
LaunMa may ask for the following permissions. You can refuse or withdraw any of them in your device settings, though some features will stop working.
| Permission | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Bluetooth | To connect to your thermal receipt printer. We use it only to find and print to printers you choose to pair. We do not scan for, collect or store information about other nearby devices or their owners. |
| Notifications | To alert you about orders ready for pickup, overdue orders, and subscription reminders |
| Storage or files | To save receipts and exported records to your device so you can keep or share them |
Sharing receipts. LaunMa lets you share a receipt or record through other apps on your device, such as WhatsApp. When you do this your device passes the file to the app you choose. We do not have access to your messages, your contacts or your conversations in those apps, and we do not receive anything back from them.
We do not collect your precise location, access your contacts, read your messages, or track you across other apps or websites.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell your personal information. We do notsell or share your customers’ information. We do notuse your business data or your customers’ data to advertise to you or to anyone else.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, we rely on the following legal bases:
We share personal information only in the following circumstances.
Service providers who help us run LaunMa:
| Provider | Purpose | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Paystack | Processing subscription payments | Nigeria |
| Supabase | Hosting the application database and authentication | West Europe (London), eu-west-2 |
Each is bound by contract to protect the information and use it only for the purpose we specify.
Where the law requires it. We may disclose information if compelled by a valid legal order from a Nigerian court or a competent regulatory authority, or where disclosure is necessary to protect life or prevent serious harm.
In a business transfer. If LaunMa Technologies is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner. We will notify you before this happens and you will be able to delete your data first.
We do not share your information with anyone else.
Your data is stored on infrastructure operated by Supabase, in the West Europe (London), eu-west-2 region.
Nigeria is not currently available as a hosting region, which means your information is stored outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred outside Nigeria, we take steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, including using providers who apply recognised international security standards, encrypt data at rest and in transit, and are bound by contractual data protection commitments.
No system is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as required by law.
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Account information | For as long as your account is active |
| Order and customer records | For as long as your account is active, so your business history stays intact |
| After account deletion | Deleted within 30 days, except where law requires otherwise |
| Payment and transaction records | Retained for 6 years to meet Nigerian tax and accounting requirements |
| Server and access logs | Up to 90 days |
If your subscription lapses, your data is retained and remains viewable so you do not lose your business history. If your account stays unpaid for 12 months we may delete it, and we will email you before we do.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Inside the app: go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. Once confirmed, your account, your order records and your customer records are permanently deleted.
By request: email support@launma.comfrom the address registered to your account, with the subject line “Account deletion request”. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days, then confirm by email.
What gets deleted: your account details, all order records, all customer records you entered, and all expense records.
What we keep, and why: payment records that Nigerian tax and accounting law requires us to retain, and anonymised aggregate statistics that cannot identify you or your business.
Before deleting, you may wish to export your records so you keep a copy of your business history.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email support@launma.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Where the request concerns data about your customers rather than about you, please note that you are the controller for that information, and the request should be directed to you rather than to us. We will support you in responding.
LaunMa is a business tool intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@launma.com and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email and through a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
Continuing to use LaunMa after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
